Mentor Programme
Many small businesses may lack the skills to tackle particular issues or difficulties they may encounter from time to time. It may be the need to implement a new Marketing & Sales campaign to cope with a changing market ; It may be a H R issue; It may be the need for a specialist to drive a new product/ service initiative; It may even be the need to completely change the direction of the business to keep up with a fast changing market and new competition.
Whatever the need or opportunity presented the Mentor Programme can deliver the expertise needed by the small business in an efficient, professional and coordinated manner which will cost the business very little but which will almost certainly bring huge improvenments and a new and positive plan for the future.
There are in excess of 200 Mwentors in a wide variety of specialist areas in the Enterprise Ireland Mentor Programme. The first port of call for any small Limerick Business is the Limerick City Enterprise Board who can quickly set the wheels in motion. Once the business is approved for the Mentor Programme and the specific needs/opportunities are identified a Mentor will be chosen from the panel and will be allocated to the small business to undertake a minimum of 5 visits over a period of usually 6 - 10 months.
The Mentor will examine the issues and come up with an Action Plan in conjunction with the Business Owner, to achieve the desired result. This Programme has proved to be a highly useful and successful resource for Businesses through the years.
